Re: Housedresses Replacing Sweats?

I often wear shifts similar to #1 and #2 on hot summer afternoon when I'm just lounging because they're so cool.  However, I'd never wear something like that if I had serious cleaning or gardening to do.  I wouldn't call them "dresses".

3rd down in a solid - like summer teal or ocean blue I would wear.

Bloomingdale's trends include "house dresses ... ethereal ... with dreamy new details" along with tiers, knit dresses, elevated lounge with lighter weight sweats in spring fabrics & vibrant colors, and more.

Re: Housedresses Replacing Sweats?

I like dresses and find them more comfortable than sweatpants or slacks, primarily because I don't like pressure on my stomach (health issues).  I have this dress and wear it as a housedress.  It's cotton and comfortable.

I wear a lot of sundresses in the summer. But nothing like the unattractive dresses shown here.

@Foxxee  House dresses?  As in wearing it while cleaning the toilet?  Long dresses?  I thought we left the prairie a long time ago.

Re: Housedresses Replacing Sweats?

@cotton4me    The dress you posted in cute and wearable.  I would wear that. In fact, I do sometimes.  I wear those types of dresses over my swimsuit while we are boating. I can even run in the grocery store dressed like that.
