This dress needs an elaborate veil.

If I was a bride I'd wear it.  I got married in the ( over the top) 1980s and my dress was raw silk with no ornamentation but I wore a lace hat that had a long veil attached.  This is definitely my style!

This dress is fabulous elegance!  But you had better have a banging body to go with it as it will show every lump and bump on an older bride.  Or have iron clad shape wear to suck you in at all the right places. 

ETA:  This would be a perfect wedding dress for a deep winter wedding.
