I wish the hosts would be re-trained to please stop telling all of us where we can wear our clothes. It is so condescending their audience can be swayed to buy by that. Spend more time on fabric content, putting together designer looks, and less telling us how many hosts wear XXS. Fire the trainers because they’re terrible.

@GDonut    The hosts will likely be trained to do that as soon as hiundreds or thousands of the items being discussed stop selling.   Ever hear of "Don't mess with success?"

I thought it was mentioned on these forums that QVC's sales are down 16%???  Doesn't sound too successful.

I find it annoying too. But they've  been doing this forever. Not likely to change now.

Suggesting that today's TSV pj's be worn on an airplane is only encouraging sloppy appearance and inappropriate attire. Who would wear those pj's out in public? The host should at least suggest something realistic.

@kaydee50   Sales are down indeed.  Don't mess with success may have been an appropriate mantra in years gone by, but not recently.

Qurate's total sales are down 16%.  That 16% is a combined result for QxH, QVC International, Zulily, and Cornerstone.

Qurate posts combined financial results of QVC & HSN as QxH.  QXH sales were down 12%.  There's no way to tell exactly where the decrease is more or less, QVC vs. HSN.  But the assumption is that since QVC is larger, they're probably carrying most of the good or bad financial load.

Third quarter 2022 results will be known soon -- they'll be reported on Friday, November 4th.

Use your mute button or change channels because QVC isn't going to go back to 1999.

I’m not surprised that QVC’s sales are down especially since we’re dealing with record numbers in regards to inflation. And it doesn’t bother me that the hosts give suggestions as to where to wear the items to because I’ll decide that for myself. But we need to remember that the hosts aren’t the only people that QVC employs and some of the regular employees working very hard behind the scenes could have their jobs on the chopping block if things continue to go the way they’re going. I actually still mail my bills in by check and buy postage stamps because, in my mind, I feel that these things help to keep the postal workers employed.
