Re jeans on hosts .... remember that's not real life - it's television and those are costumes. I don't know anyone who dresses anything like they do on QVC.... perhaps in their homes, but deinitely not on the street or among my friends and acquaintances or organizations.

All depends on where you live and your lifestyle. Wheneve I'm in one of the business areas of Manhattan, I still see men in suits and ties and women in business attire.

Also seeing more and more people in pajamas is what get's my attention. I just chuckle and go on about my business. To each his own I guess.

Speaking of pj's....a couple of days ago I ran into a Cumberland Farms (a gas station/convenience store to grab a loaf of bread. It was about 25 F and windy outside and in comes a middle aged lady in slide-on (no heels) bedroom slippers and pajama shorts w/little strawberries on them....long winter milky white legs......but a heavy winter jacket w/the hood over her head, picking up a couple packs of cigs. It just struck me funny cause I remember my smoking days when if I ran out of my Marlboro's I'd run out looking like I didn't care what just to get those cigs. But never on a bitterly cold winter dayw/strawberry printed short jammies.

QVC host don't dress to impress anymore. I think the blue jeans on air is an insult to the viewers as they don't put any effort in what they wear on air and the look comes off as if they are going to the supermarket. Previous host like Lisa Robertson elevated the dark denim and made it look sophisticated and elegant. Please let me know what you all think.
Oh yeah.....LR and her 'Gumby' pants, the epitome of elevated, sophisticated and elegant, LOL!

"Role eyes" thread. I wear jeans to work. Yes I do dress them up with dressy blouse, belt and jacket. Matching 2" heels.

This is what the thread is all about.. hmmmm
I think QVC has the upper hand in approving what the hosts wear or don't wear.. LR has nothing to do this.. sorry but I still think some nics on hand are being used..

When styled properly jeans can work in just about any situation. There's nothing wrong with a Q host wearing jeans.

Lisa made anything look good Amy use to wear dark Jeans with her signature red heels, she looked nice too. Jeans do not bother me. I would rather see the jeans rather than cocktail dresses and stilletos. Some of the host find a happy medium. Mary Beth always looks nice. She looks like she is going to an office. I don't watch Q much. When I do I enjoy the daytime Q. Hosts seem calm lol

@qshopper712. I think you're a little behind the times. Jeans are acceptable wear almost anywhere these days. They aren't your mother's old farmer's denim but are silky synthetic fiber combos with designer details. People accessorize them with heels, beautiful boots, jewelry, jackets, belts, etc so they are quite elegant. Nowdays they serve as a navy pant, not bathroom scrubbing wear.

As long as their wearing a brand of jeans QVC sells, I think its appropriate especially if these jeans are an item coming up in the fashion show they are hosting, or its a casual show like gardening, pet products, home improvement, electronics etc etc....
But my pet peeve is more directed at the hosts that wear clothing from their own personal wardrobe if they are hosting a fashion show ----- The hosts SHOULD BE wearing clothes that they are going to be presenting.....If they wear their own clothes what kind of a message are you giving to potential shoppers out there....that you dont like QVC clothes??? which isnt very good for QVC's bottom line....Also, its a bit embarrassing when a customer inquires and the social media person has to reply to a viewer that the clothing/shoes are from the host's personal wardrobe and they aren't sold on QVC.....OUCH!!! Hosts should support the vendors that support QVC...and in effect help pay the host's salary!!
Now if its a show that is more upscale like the special jewelry shows, or a special event with high end products then jeans would not be appropriate for these shows....
