Just some tips I've come up with from years of frustrating experience, for buying exactly the right length for all of your bottoms - including crops. I'm 5'8" with a long torso, but with only 'average' legs.
*Always consider your torso, in addition to your leg length and height: is it "Long", "Average"""Regular", or "Short". Eventually, you'll know the best rise number (noted in inches) for you.
*Always consider the labeling on the garment: "At-Waist", "Mid-Rise", "Low-Rise". Where it falls around your belly button makes a difference in how long they'll be. For example, I'll get a longer length if the jeans are fitting right at my waist, or just a tad below. This is the most crucial thing I consider, BTW.
*Always consider which heel heights you'll be wearing with each item: flat (12"), on up. Which pairs of shoes will go with which bottoms...
*Always consider shrinkage: if you'll put the item in the dryer. You definitely want that length to stay the same, and how much they'll shrink also depends on the fabric content and manufacturer. Or, just air-dry 'em like I do.
OK, that's about it. Unless I forgot something, LOL.
HTH.
P.S.: my question mark & forward slash keys, along w some others, have the evening off
