Re: Head coverings: Which ones do you choose to wear in windy/cold weather?

I am a lover of hats and I also like being practical, warm, and dry, so I go for "all of the above" in terms of what's already been mentioned. I have many coats/jackets that have hoods & use them when it's icky outside. I have earmuffs and an entire wardrobe of hats that are always on the shelf by the back door, ready for me as needed. Right now, I'm putting aside the ball caps and adding in my winter knit caps. I'm always on the look-out for anything cute & cozy that will keep me warm & dry.

I have several faux fur "halos" that I love and have been wearing for years.  When it's snowing and I have to go out I use a knitted one.  They keep my ears and head the warmest and do t mess with the hair.

When I walk my dog after driving to the park, I wear a straw cowboy hat. It's soft enough though that it's a packable one so it won't get squished. I will also pull the hood on my coat over the cowboy hat in case it's windy.

I also have a gustbuster umbrella for the wind. You can look those up on Amazon to see what they look like. I've had mine for at least 5 years and it's a great umbrella.

Well, here goes, giggle if you must. I am a very young 70 and I love my knit caps with a pom pom on the top and I think I look pretty cute with my hair peeking out of the bottom of the cap. LOL
