@Group 5 minus 1

Actor John O'Hurly played J. Peterman on Seinfeld, but there is a "real" J. Peterman and catalog.

Don't know if Mr. O'Hurly is still around, but he was fab in the part.

@65and fabulous

They returned from bankruptcy a long time ago.

You can go to their website to see items and/or sign up for the catalog.

Re: Have we discussed J. Peterman?

I didn't know they were back. I signed up for email, catalog and am following on FB. I always loved their descriptions, so over the top and fabulous. Thanks

Just now Isaac and Shawn were sharing make-believe scenarios in which someone might wear the new Isaac print dress.  Very similar to the J. Peterman romanticism of putting yourself in a fantasy situation that you almost wish were real.

My paternal great grandmother's chamber pot was done in a toile pattern.  I keep it in my china cabinet.  My maternal great grandmother's was solid white (appears to be made of China although the only mark is the date from the 1800s (England)), kept with the Solitaire pattern; the paternal blue toile is kept with the Blue Danube, the kitchen cabinets with the glass doors.

Did you not think Shawn's skirt was a J. Peterman?  The organza skirt which she wore with an el QVC-o Tee.

I think you're right, @Nonametoday

It could have been.  It's got that look.

@GingerPeach  Never heard of him/her or the catalog.  The dress is a lovely style for the hot, summer days and nights.   Cat Very Happy
