On an episode of The Young and the Restless, either late 1970s or early 80s, the actress Jamie Lyn Spear wore a tailored beige wool gabardine jumpsuit that I also owned and still have, just for sentimental reasons.

It was a surprise to see someone on tv wear something I had in my own closet.

I share your feeling of surprise, delight, and a kind of affirmation of our good taste (or maybe popular taste?).  Anyway, whatever it might be, it's fun, @lolakimono

Interesting question! About a year ago, the character Eddie Reagan (Jamie's  wife) on Blue Bloods, was wearing a Vince Camuto sweater I had recently purchased.

When I was 11 or 12 I had a dress made from identical fabric as this character from Animal House.

When the Mentalist was still on,one of the actresses with a bit part had on a floral sweater from Koh'ls that I owned.They still may have it in inventory since I seem to see it on their website from time to time.

Several years ago I saw a news anchor wearing a dress I owned. Currently I own the same navy wrap dress that the lady in the Spectrum ad is wearing.
