I don't see a problem with it.  How do they know who you are if you don't sign in?  As far as I know all forums make you sign in first.

I understand what you are saying. Sometimes you start typing something and dont realized that you arent signed in. It should redirect you to the message you were typing after signing in. Try copy and paste to fix this issue.

I know what the OP is referring to.  Sometimes I type in a lengthy response, without realizing that I'm not signed in. When I hit "post", it bumps me to the sign in page. At first I thought my response was lost and had to retype it, but now I realize if you click your browser's "back" arrow, it will take you to the response that you typed and you can post it successfully.

I hope that makes sense.

I agree, though, that the reply option shouldnt be there if you're not signed in. That would solve the problem.
