WOW, I just got my birthday card and now you must spend at least $50 to get the $10.

Re: Happy Birthday from Chico's

How nice, my birthday is November 7. QVC used to send a card with easy pays, now all I got was a card.

Re: Happy Birthday from Chico's

That's new from Chico's. Last year I spent mine on an item already on deep sale - way below $50. With tax, I spent under $14 with that gift. Now, it would have to be over $40 with taxes - still a gift and still good if you already intended to buy something. Not so great as a "fishing lure." which is what all these offers are, imo.

This year I've been on a tear to downsize my wardrobe and jewelry box, so I didn't go near Chico's for months. Same with QVC, Nordstrom, Macy's, and well, name a store and I've avoided them. Just glad to see I didn't miss anything by not going in to use my birthday money.

I know I'll need to start refurbishing my wardrobe pretty soon, but I'm determined to do it very slowly because 2014 has made me realize how true it is how little of what we have we actually wear.

I miss the $25 off $50 coupons. Have not bought a thing since they stopped with those.

How do you get the birthday discount? It is pretty darn easy to spend $50 @ Chico's even buying clearance items.

I thinks it's great that they offer free money! Very easy to spend $50 and they have great quality clothes. The clearance section is amazing as are the markdowns. I always do well there. And, you can combine your birthday coupon with other coupons. It's a win-win!

When you are a passport member, they send you birthday coupons. It is just a program that when you spend $500 between Chico's and Soma (lingerie store owned by Chico's) you get a lifetime 5% discount at those 2 stores in addition to other promos going. It is not a credit card, but just a program to reward you for shopping with them and they also send you coupons by e-mail, mail, and you will get their catalogs. Love their clothes! They also own White House Black Market and Boston Proper but they have separate programs.

Great! Thanks! Then I will expect a birthday coupon when my birthday rolls around.

Soma has been getting my business recently, too.
