Did you read any of the posted explanations of what "haircalf" is? Did you look it up and read the definition on a reputable web site? Unless you are a vegetarian all this hysteria about "haircalf" bags, shoes, etc. is absurd. "Haircalf" products are made of COW leather using a different process. Since cows are slaughtered for their meat would you rather see the hides destroyed or used to make products? Unless we outlaw beef, cows will be slaughtered in this country. In India cows are sacred and therefore never killed. But we live in the US and cows are raised for food (or milk) and their hides are used after slaughter.
Please stop the hysteria!!!

Just as much as you are entitled to your lack of feeling regarding animals. On 2/28/2014 kansasprairie said: Lisa and women like her are narcissists who only care for their own vanity. Who do you think is running around aborting calves and why? There is plenty of calfskin on the market from birthed calves but it.'s too soft and expensive to be used for anything but the highest end leather goods. Would you and your PETA friends like to subsidize all the male dairy calves that are born for which there is no purpose? You could give each farmer several thousand of dollars a year so they could be kept as pets? Maybe it's your responsibility to offer one a home in your backyard? You need to Learn the fact and reality of the situation! On 2/28/2014 bunsnpigs said:People don't care that animals are treated horribly so humans can eat meat and wear leather/suede, etc. It's disgusting. Every time I see one of the hosts cuddling a big leather bag or modeling those lovely shoes, I see a cow screaming. People don't know and don't want to know.
As a past member of PETA and mother of 3 furbabies it breaks my heart to know that animals are "aborted" for the sake of a soft handbag. It sickens me! Will it ever change?
