I'm not a grommet girl but could see wearing them on leggings like the pic above. 

The Quackers were clearly ahead of their time.

When I was a little girl in the 50's my Mom had a dress with grommets around the neck and she would thread a scarf thru them and tie it either in the front or on the side. The dress was a sort of stone khacki color so she could wear any color scarf with it.

NO!!!   They get blazing hot if the sun hits them.....you can get a burn.

Large grommets for decoration do not appeal to me. If they serve a purpose as in a lace up top then I might consider it, but generally the grommets I see are too big and there are just too many all over the item. Not my style.

I absolutely DISLIKE grommets!  Just too "industrial" looking for me.

I really like the look of grommets on clothing.  I have a top that looks very similar to the blue one in photo #3 or #4.

I do not have any in my wardrobe now. QF does some cute ones.I do not like real large ones for the most part. I never thought about them burning in the hot sun. I wonder how going thru metal detectors would work ?

I have a feeling a warehouse in China was being cleared out and they found 55 gallon drums full of grommets.   Yes, I noticed a lot of clothing are featuring grommets.

Problem is, if the tension isn't correct, a lot of "pulling" once the garment is washed and dryed.
