I really like the TSV vest, but it's too long for a petite. I saw it on Rachel this morning and did not like the length on her. There are so many of us shorties out there, I can not understand why they won't accommodate us along with the regular size. IMO you need to be at least 5ft6 to pull off that vest.

They're so consumed with 'camouflage' and 'covering up' that they never consider the alternatives which is how proper fit is flattering

I only have one vest, a white sherpa one from Talbot's. It's pretty, but I admit I have a love/hate relationship with it.

It does look cute over long-sleeved tops, especially striped ones.

The problems I have with this (or any other viest):

What do you do when you go indoors? If I wear the vest, it kind of gets in the way of eating or sitting comfortably.

Plus, if it's cold enough to wear a vest, it's cold enough to cover my arms IMO (I tend to be cold anyway.)

Bottom line, I'm probably not a vest person. My daughter is; she wears them often and they look cute on her. Granddaughter also. And they live in CA, where the climate is pretty mild, so a vest is more practical I think.

there are vests that aren't quilted and lined; that are specifically for fashion purposes.

I have a few and I love them

I posted in another thread that this length of a vest doesn't work for me.  I'm 5'4" and I have a short torso.  I am also bottom heavy.  I ordered a D&C vest once and should have returned it. 

A vest this length either fits me through my shoulders, bust and arms and I can't zip it because it's too tight through the hip area or if I can zip it, I'm swimming in it everywhere else.

Good looking vests. Vests can be dowdy if they're not done right. Some remind me of the old "Blockbuster" vests.

I like them on others, but not on me.
