Actually, I think, given it's on television, it's probably supposed to possess at least a modicum of entertainment value... I believe even their, um, esteemed... CEO has touted their entertainment function, such as it is... Unfortunately, it's ceased to be even marginally entertaining the vast majority of the time and on virtually any level whatsoever.
Well, I , personally, have never been entertained by QVC or any other shopping channel. I do agree that the Q has become less watchable in the past years than say twenty + years ago. But, spring is coming and we'll all have those wonderful warm weather activities going on.

Whatever she's selling, she uses or wears.
Excellent point, K9buddy. There were many posts a few weeks ago concerning her lack of honesty. Even Isaac referenced her heels and foot problems on his show this evening.
I agree with all of this. I heard her make that statement too about only wearing dresses, and I thought, "Huh?" to myself. Anyway, I just can not watch her. I don't really like Amy either. I don't need any more clothes. So I am not going to watch hosts I don't enjoy just to see if there is something else I am tempted by.

There is nothing wrong with going after a younger audience but..the younger ones are in the malls, with less money.Getting older,I am tired of the malls and I have more money to buy,so Q.V.C....do not forget your older watchers,or we will purchase elsewhere!!I like Shawn, but 10 is too late for me,and most likely not my cup of tea!

This is so crazy!! It's a show to sell clothes not to be anyone's friend. There are different styles to fit all tastes. Shawn does look great in everything and sells a lot of items.
Instead of criticizing people and being rude and hurting someone's feelings you don't even know turn the channel!!

However, remember when Talbots thought they needed to change for the younger generation? It almost closed their doors for good! We are the only generation willing and able to spend money on the things we really want.
No jewelfoot, the younger demo is spending their money elsewhere...NOTHING @ Q would appeal to them.
I agree. I don't know why the "older generation" feel as is they are they only ones with money to spend. Perhaps it is younger members of their family and friends who give them this impression. The clothes at the Q do not appeal to me at all - I agree they are mostly polyester and spandex type and actually not worth the money. Anyone with a well-paying job has money to spend - whether they are 25 or 50.

HSN has done this...funny because many of their designers are old but the clothes is youth oriented; leggings and dresses either above the knee or maxi. But Shawn is unique; brash and bold, not very smooth. I can not watch her for long as I find her so opinionated to border on arrogant. Yes, we all want information but who wants to be told what to think. Watch very little any more.
I also don't consider her "young." I am not sure what demographic she appeals to.

They need to switch the time slot and put it at is normal time that it was for years! I don't want to wait thru logo, issac and inspired style to get to it. QVC is losing my business left and right these days. Good for me. Save me money!

To me, it's definitely not a question of age. It is format and hosts. It has become so frenetic and jumpy and I am not in the mood for that at 10 pm after a very long day. I tried (emphasis on tried) to watch last night. I turned it on at 10 and the very first item presented was a Susan Graver dress. Between Susan and Shawn shrieking and running around and both of them talking over one another every 2 seconds, I grabbed my remote and put on the news. What is up with all new models except for Jackie, and the hectic pace of the show? The old PMS might have been a bit boring but at least Lisa was a true fashion person and the pace of the show was more appealing. This is like a 3-ring circus, at least to me. QVC missed the boat on this one by not selecting someone like Sandra, Carolyn, Jayne or Pat to do PMS. As long as it stays this way they have lost me completely on Monday nights.

Well, I don't watch PMS because it comes on too late. I get up at 5am, so 10pm is my bedtime. I admit Shawn isn't my favorite host but I gotta admit, she's been looking amazing lately and I'd probably watch just to oggle her shoes...lol She wears some very cool shoes. I can't wear shoes like that but I'm a fashionista, I like seeing others wear them. I think QVC is reaching out to a younger audience with Shawn and I'm all for that. Not to say that she's all that young, she's 40ish but she presents as "young". I understand that if QVC is to grow it's business, it must attract younger, more affluent, fashion foward women. Pat, Jayne and D&Co can't do that. The hosts and brands that work for me will not work for my daughters who are 27 and 29. PMS is out for me but I'm okay with that because I'm more likely to buy something from Leah's AMS shows or the SG shows. I've never watched any shopping channel for entertainment, if I sit down to watch, it's because I'm shopping. Perhaps that's why I'm okay with any changes QVC makes. I shop QVC.com a lot and QVC airs 24/7. I can always find hosts and brands that appeal to me.

It'll be interesting to see if "corporate" assesses that their new 'hot mess Mondays' are working or if they step in and make changes... You can only hope that if they prove not to be working, based on sales, (which, somewhat understandably, is really the only thing that's going to matter to them), their arrogance won't get the better of them and prohibit them from admitting that mistakes were made...
