I kind of feel a bit sorry for Kate because she always needs to be "on." The dress is lovely but you know what I notice more than any of the clothing she wears? It is that she smiles with her eyes and that's what really makes her beautiful and endearing.....Heart

You feel sorry for Kate?

Yes, I do. She always needs to dress beautifully and strive for perfection. She can't have an off day. Endlessly critiqued because of how she looks...it just cannot be always easy for her @NYCLatinaMe .

@Trinity11 It is a lot easier for her than for most women in the world.  I would be worried about women who can't get health care, who can't get food, who are being evicted, who are ceing beaten up by family memebers and romantic partners, who can't get jobs, who live in Afghanistan... I can go on and on.  I saw the pictures elsewhere.  She looks gorgeous, she is rich, and is beloved by her family and entire countries.  I am sure tons of women would trade their troubles for hers.

Oh come on @NYCLatinaMe . Please don't read more into my comment than I meant. I made a simple comment and you went off on a tangent about women being beaten and women in Afghanistan? Where did I ever say I did not feel sorry for them as well? Give it a rest.

Yes, please let's keep to the topic as posted - save all the drama otherwise interesting post deleted.

@Trinity11 If you don't want me to read it, don't write it.  Your statement was jarring!

We are not in a courtroom @NYCLatinaMe . My statement was about how we value women for how they look. Kate is an example of that statement always needing to be perfect. Nothing jarring about it but sadly you chose to dramatize it.

@Trinity11 I can't imagine anyone feeling sorry for Duchess Kate.  She is well taken care of and loved.  So yes, jarring.  We have different perspectives here.

I don't understand the statement, either. What do you mean don't want to deal with it?

Kate looks good in the dress, but personally, I don't love it. It's just too much gold and too ornate for me. I prefer something more understated.
