There's a saying I read recently; I painted it on the fireplace and in my studio:
"Be kind to everyone you meet, for everyone is fighting a great battle."
We all are. Everyone.

One of the department stores in our local mall sold her jeans back in the 80's if I'm not mistaken. I did buy them and liked the fit, but I was able to wear anything back then and look good.LOL That being said, I never followed her accomplishments, I didn't even know her son is Anderson Cooper or that she had a son die by suicide. GV certainly had her share of grief.

GV was a true pioneer in making fashion jeans for the masses....until her jeans hit the market, I think Lees and Levi’s were some of the few options. Her jeans are still popular with many, but she will be remembered for more than jeans....truly accomplished in many areas of the arts. RIP

Iman appeared in a GV ad in 2017. Of course Gloria had nothing to do with the company long before that. I remember once on a tv interview (maybe with Anderson?) she talked about the company basically being stolen from her. Would have to look that up.

In my younger days I wore her fragrance and her jeans. She had quite a life, some of it very tragic. A very interesting woman. Rest in peace,Gloria.
