I remember dresses almost exactly like this one back in the late 60s. In fact, I had one that was done in black and white eyelet....but it didn't have as many layers of ruffles.

While I looked pretty cute in it back then, it is not something I would wear now at 68!

Kinda reminds me of those toilet paper covers

I just don't have the "look" to successfully wear ruffles. A small ruffle at the wrist is about it.

Otherwise - it looks like I'm wearing a costume.

On me those kind of tiered ruffles make me look huge and I'm not. One time I bought a top with tiered ruffles and wore it to my doctor's appointment...it was a pullover style and easy to remove and put back on. So when the doctor came in the room, she said I looked like I had gained some weight and I did not! It was that top. Never again.
