I think wide leg pants, especially in the cropped length, are the most unflattering thing a woman can wear.  The instantly look dumpy.

Those KG pants don't look like gauchos to me. The gauchos I wore in the 70s & 80s we're just below the knee and a wider leg. Great with knee high boots in cold weather. Loved that look. Don't own any now.

I think it depends on the height and shape of the woman, and what she's wearing on top.

I never wore them but I had seen several women  back in the day wearing them and they looked nice wearing them.

Agree, size and shape, what's on the bottom too.

I wear Kim's gaucho or simply wide leg cropped pants with rope trim all summer long.

Top usually a cute stripe tank or bateau neck maybe with some nautical style, Sperry top siders with leather laces. A fun classic summer look.

Loved gauchos in the 70s and still today. I am tall and thin and that may make the difference.

not quite sure what the difference is between a wide leg copped pant and a gaucho, but i do enjoy wearing wide leg cropped pants when the weather gets warmer. i think they can be very dressy or very casual, depending on your accessories and tops. i am 5'7" and not skinny.
