GILI Brand

Is it me or does anyone else think that the GILI brand is very expensive?! I love the designs but being it's NOT a 'designer' name brand but a mere 'QVC' brand, the prices are not justified. A leather dress or a handbag for $500+ each...I don't understand. Any thoughts ladies???

Given the poor quality issues in so many reviews, I think the line I not ready for big-league prices until they stand the test of time.

Doesn't take any talent to go to NY, window shop with with a few people and tell them to "copy" that design, just make a minor switch on this and that, then sew your own label into it. I don't know how they get away with it. I'm certain Lisa herself has never sat down and designed any garment or shoe but they figure her name is on it, some fools will purchase it.

They're trying to establish GILI as a Lisa Robertson/QVC "status" brand.........so they're charging status prices. Too bad so many of GILI items have apparently had quality issues and/or poor reviews. Unfortunately, I believe products usually have to earn status over time.

I just received my first GILI piece. I thought the price was too high for an unknown brand and quality issues but I fell in love with the blouse (lime green lattice pattern) so I tried it. It is beautifully made, the fit is perfect, the 100% poly is a beautiful fabric. All in all I still think it is expensive for me but in this case, it really is worth it. My two cents. ${#emotions_dlg.thumbup1}$
