I like the jacket and I admire the man!

 

How about doing a thread on spring trends that we can incorporate now?  There are months of cold weather ahead but how can we make things look lighter and brighter now?  Just a thought!  Happy new year!

I don’t like oversized buttons on any clothing so that would be a deal breaker for me.  I also think the chest pockets are  much too large.  So this would be a No.

I like the classic Eisenhower jacket;  it's always been a wee bit too cropped for me, ending at the wrong place.  I do like them on women with slim hips and on men.

 

Luckily, a lot of jean jackets for women can approximate a similar look, while being a bit more accomodating...

 

@cherry, what a striking photo of Ike-- I don't think I've ever seen that one before.
