I seem to be spending my morning reading ridiculous fashion news articles.  According to the NYT, idiots customers are paying from $530 to $2350 for fleece pullovers from design houses.  Some are wool, some are poly.  Some are born every minute

@Bookplate Some have a lot of money and it doesn't matter.  Some shop at Walmart, some at Dillards and some at Neiman Marcus.  I think you have to wonder about people who have a lot of money and shop Walmart on the other end of the scale.

@Bookplate.  I maybe could see that for wool as it has become very expensive.  Wool fleece might be overly warm for many people, however.  For polyester....naw.

MAYBE for cashmere, but that wasn't mentioned.

Regardless of how much money someone has, there are certain instances where my reaction goes immediately to the old proverb: a fool and his money are soon parted

Some clothing prices are astronomical, but as long as people have money and are willing to spend it this won't change.

I don't puchase much clothing but when I do I am very careful as to what I buy and what I pay. I am not willing to pay QVC prices. I realize many thousands of shoppers are, so I'm not affecting their bottom line.

What people spend on their purchases is none of my concern. I know what I can afford and I stick to my budget.

Not paying that for Poly even if that's all that's available.

I want cotton. If I can't find that I will continue wearing my old clothes.

Even though I can afford the prices they are selling clothes for today I'm not paying those prices. They can keep it.
