I'm in Southern Michigan, Jonesville, south of Jackson.
What is your favorite restaurant and why?
Now I need to know where I should go that is a hidden secret.
Favorite restaurant: Johnny T's in Hillsdale Love their pot roast.
Favorite hidden secret: There is a Statue of Liberty in the middle of a pond.

Either Rustica or Fandango in downtown Kalamazoo would be my favorites. Or maybe Salt of the Earth in Fennville. Or Chinn Chinn in Mattawan. All are fantastic.

If you take a trip up north, check out The Bluebird in Leland...a hidden gem...you get cinnamon rolls with your meal...ask for a window table when you make a reservation...very peaceful. Enjoy, EEL

There is a restaurant near by in Ohio that is in an old church building, bar/restaurant in the bottom and the sanctuary is upstairs. I have not eaten there but sounds like fun

Michiganders--I retired to Ann Arbor and would appreciate any help you can give me. There are many restaurants, but none I am in love with.

We get to Cabela's a couple of times a year, will have to try that place!
Mackinaw City, Dixie Saloon. Good burgers. If you're on the island, The Grand Hotel still serves afternoon tea. You don't have to be a guest but proper attire is required.
Lakeside Charlie's in Cadillac. Right on Lake Mitchell so have dinner at sunset. Mountain Town for a steak in Mt Pleasant, take a train ride, too.
Gobbler's in Gaylord is a little quirky and known for their turkey dinners. Like Thanksgiving every day but the last time I was there the food was pretty meh.
Legs Inn, Cross Village (Harbor Springs) about the only ethnic food north of Detroit. Great atmosphere and guest cottages.
