I got an email from Talbots this morning announcing yet another event, LOL. I noticed on the email that they've marked some styles of pants down to $19.99. I looked and my favorite pants are included!  They're the Dalton pants. I absolutely love them. They're a little closer fitting, like a slim pant, but they look great on and are so comfortable.  Not a legging, but not full legged pants.   I have them in 3 colors. Anyway, they were originally $119 and now they're $19.99!

As for sizing, I'm a 12 and I wear a 12 in these. I could squeeze into the 10, but the 12 was definitely better.

Just  passing on the recommendation. These pants are an unbelievable buy.

Why is it, when I have a 50/50 guess at something, I'm always 100% wrong?

I'm 5'6" and 135 -- don't like my pants to fit tight.

What size might work?  I have worn a 12 jean in relaxed fit, but hesitant to get that size for fear of being too "close."

I could order both sizes and try them, and might do that, but if you have any thoughts, I would appreciate it.

Thanks.

Thanks for the heads-up!

I like this Tie-front Tee (many colors), just reduced from $39.50 to $20.99. It's a nice weight, not see-through.

and this Floral Embroidered Cap Sleeve Tee (white, indigo or olive). 49.50 to 26.99.

@gidgetgh  Thanks!  I hope you aren't beating yourself up for having bought them at a higher price!  Smiley Happy    No matter what I do, none of the Talbot's pants fit me right.  I've often wished they did but they don't.  Your post makes me wish once again they did - what a great price - but they don't.  I wonder whether this style is being discontinued? Did you think of that?    Is it only the spring line or all the Daltons?

@Witchy Woman- sorry it took me awhile to get back to you. Keep in mind, these are a close fitting, knit type pair of pants. What size do you wear in regular pants, like dress pants? That's the size I'd recommend for you. I wear a 12 in dress pants, chinos, etc. and I wear a 12 in these. They're not leggings.  They're thicker material but they fit more closely, almost like a "legging lite" and especially taper in from the knees down. But they're definitely not stay at home casual wear. They're regular pants, but they're made to fit close. Take a look at the picture on the model and pay close attention to how they look on her, especially from the knees down.

Thanks for the info!  LOVE Talbots!  I bought a some things during their Red Hanger Sale and can't believe how much I got for so little.  One of the items is the sailboat print vest from earlier this year.  Originally $129 and I paid under $30.  Can't beat that!  :-)

@gidgetgh

I wear a 12, so I'll start there.

My biggest problem is being painfully body conscious and not wanting anything tight.  But these are really lovely pants!

I'm not that big, but just cannot bring myself to wear anything form fitting.  I'm sure I need therapy for it!

Thanks!
