I was reading an article on InStyle's site and saw an ad for these pants. They're called the Dubai style by a company called Carbon 38. The fabric sounds nice, technical performance fabric that's wrinkle free and packable. Only $195.00!
They're pull on, 25" inseam on a small. Would you wear this style? Setting price aside. The red top is $145. I usually find that wrinkle free and packable doesn't live up to the hype. Like no iron shirts.

I don't like those at all. The bottom looks like a lamp shade.

I own a pair of black flounce pants by Carolyn Strauss. They look like those, only longer. I don't wear them any more but I could probably wear them today and be stylish.

I saw a stage production of Mamma Mia this afternoon. Great fun.
That flare is much like one style of the costumes worn by almost all the main characters at one point or another. Great for the show.
Not a style I feel would be particularly flattering on most bodies.

Ummm, that would be a no.
Just another way to save on fabric and call it chic.

I went to Jason's Deli for lunch one day this week and saw a woman wearing these. First time I had ever seen them. She was very well dressed, very upscale. I was curious. I was in a small town, not too many choices. It's a trend. I'm not the trendy type but if I was, I would wear them.

I LOVE these!
Could I wear them? Not in my wildest dreams. I also think they'd be nice for social ballroom dancing.
As for those flounced flare pants - little kids have been wearing those at the ice rink for the past couple of years.
On occasion I've seen them on ladies around town sporting a retro look; those were popular in the 60s & 70s. I think the ones where the flouce goes down to the ankle are very cute; the ones in the first photo are too short.

i saw something similar on HSN this morning. Anttony (sp) was selling but not a style I like or think is flattering.
