Re: Flip Flop Recommendation - Ones you feel you could walk miles in :)

Can't do toe posts, so only slides for me.

The original Nike are the best for me.  I do have a pair of Birkenstocks, but have to say, not as comfortable.

Several years I went on a trip with DS and BIL and long story...ended up wearing slides for a couple of weeks.  Wonderful.

It is funny to watch a middle school basketball team sort out their slides after a game.

Cannot walk "miles" in any flip flops but I can in my Earth sandals.  Just FYI.

I have some from Born that are beautiful and very comfy.

I suggest you look at Foot Smart.  They are an ultra foot comfort site.

Spenco "Yumi" or "Fusion Fade".  I have walked many miles on tough terrain in these.  I find them very comfortable, hammer toes and all.

I've worn them usually in men's or (they used to size them) in unisex.  A Spenco 7 mens fits my 8.5 womens nicely, though a womans 9 works, too.

@Sweetbay magnolia  I have hammer toes too!! I'll check them out  Smiley Happy

Hi @SandGirl I'm with you, hot feet are no fun!  I happen to wear flip flops year round as my "house shoes".  I don't even like slippers in winter, just flip flops.  I'm blessed with warm feet I guess!

My absolute favorite is the Teva Mush II.  A classic, simple flip flop.  Considering I wear them every day, for a few hours each day, they wear very well.  The foot bed is very cushy.  I don't like foot bed's with a pattern, or imprint, in them, if you know what I mean, eventually it hurts the sole of my feet.  These are perfectly smooth, and don't get slippery with sweat.  The toe piece is a soft cord type material, never causes discomfort for me.  I even toss them in the washer every so often with a load of jeans to freshen them up.  Or they can be washed by hand.

I hope you have a fantastic vacation!

@Catlady Nicole Thank you! I will go check them out and OMGoodness I know what you mean, I got some textured sole type once and I got sores within 30min of wearing them, my old Nike had a smooth foot bed so I will for sure check these out, thank you!!
