Fisherman Out Of Ireland Plaited Sweater

[ Edited ]

From Blarney Woollen Mills

I have a pink plaited Aran sweater from QVC. I love it, wore it over the weekend.

This is a contemporary collection of Irish knitwear made in County Donegal. This sweater has been knit with 100% soft geelong lambswool. It has a distinctive plated finish, giving a two-tone effect, which further emphasizes the classic Aran stitches.

  • 100% geelong lambswool
  • Made in Ireland
  • Colors: sandstone, limestone, pinkstone & jade

Comparable to cashmere for its warmth and luxurious soft handle, Geelong Lambswool is an elegant, comfortable and practical yarn - lambswool refers to wool which is 50 mm or shorter from the first shearing of a sheep at age of seven months.

Found a picture of my sweater, someone is selling one on Poshmark.

It's prettier in person, and the plaiting shows up better. The collar buttons all the way up, then it can be folded over.

The sweaters are ;lovely!!!  The style and designs, colors are very appealing.  I would buy a couple in different colors of course!

The QVC sweater is wonderful.  It's "me".  All three colors.

Also, Greeneyedlady:  Love your pink sweater, too.

'More or less', 'Right or wrong', 'In general', and 'Just thinking out loud ' (as usual).

@Greeneyedlady21 Love the design and color of the first one.  I googled the site and I'm definitely thinking about it.  The question is whether I really need another sweater!  I'm not a big turtleneck fan, but that doesn't look too tight.

I love your sweater.  The Fisherman sweaters are great.  I have 2 of A351061, green and blue.  Yours isn't on line anymore.

I love Irish sweaters!   These are so pretty and I love your pink one @Greeneyedlady21 .

I own at least 5 or 6 Aran sweaters in different colors and somewhat different styles.

Every one is a cardigan type but I do own one turtleneck.  I like it but I find it's way too warm unless you are going to be outside for hours.   I find my cardigans much more versatile.   I even have a couple of matching scarves!
