First purchase from Lululemon

[ Edited ]

I went shopping with my younger sister yesterday.  It was enjoyable.  It was in a mall I had never been to in Annapolis.  Anyway we ended up getting some clothes.  I got 4 tops.  One of them was from Lululemon.  I was warned ahead of time they were expensive.  And they were.  But we loved one top. And ended geting one each.  Although my sister and I share jewelry.  We don't  share clothes. She's a size up from me.  I love the feel of the top.  It was a cropped very soft vanila color.  More like an egg shell. Can't describe but we both fell in love with it.  And it was incredibly soft.  That store was crowded.  We ended up in a long line.  Almost as long as the line was at Marshall's.  (Where we went earlier.)  That particular mall was apparently a shadow of what it was once.  My sister told me so many stores left.  There were two stores there in their place.  By some charities.  One was the ASAP store.  It look like a pet store, but for rescued animals.  My sister was hoping for a dog, but all they had were cats.  I already have two, so I didn't get one. The other store was the library.  I didn't get a chance to go in, but it looked like it was from the Annapolis library.  At least the mall was still there.  I could tell it must have been a nice one.  It very big and spread out. The only left department store was a Macy.

My daughter got me some leggings from lululemon years ago, they were my favorite workout pants for years.  Great quality.

Re: First purchase from Lululemon

I found some compresssion workout pants at Costco last year that are dead-ringers for Lululemon...my granddaughter loves that store and she has a pair from there that are identical to mine other than the label. They also sell men's clothes and Costco has a dupe for their men's joggers.

It is so sad what has happened to the malls in our area. We only have two malls now and  one is quite a drive from where we live...and the closer one I don't feel safe going inside.

Yes, malls are becoming a thing of the past it seems.

I, like most people (it seems, I guess) haven't wanted to go to the mall for many years but I miss it being there when I want to go.

Weird and sad how things can change so fast.

@Trailrun23  I love Costco and their clothes.

Re: First purchase from Lululemon

I have never bought anything at Lululemon, and I have been a runner all of my adult life. I am not sure why I have not bought anything there. I find their price point to be pretty high, but they have had some pretty iconic looks. When I was doing marathons, I would buy things at Athleta, but I am not sure I ever went in a Lululemon store. Now I just buy things online, which is a little sad. Seems like shopping is sort of a constant endeavor versus it used to being a real treat to go out and look for something special in person.

Re: First purchase from Lululemon

My daughter loves Lululemon and has a few things from there.  Their items are SO expensive and I haven't bought any clothing pieces for myself, but I did purchase two belt bags this summer.  I absolutely LOVE them and used one of them all summer.  I bought a black one in another style too, but I am waiting for wintertime to use it.

I am on Long Island, and many of our malls are very much alive.  They are jam packed with stores and shoppers.  There are restaurants attached to them as well, so I think that helps.  I had stopped going to the mall for many years, but now that I have two young daughters, I am back again.
