I wore the ripped tights in the 70s...looks like an old pair of mine.We couldn't afford new pairs so I had to wear them rips and all.I was embarrassed by it then and I don't like the reminder.

Ok... here is what they are saying.

The Reese Witherspoon outfits are in keeping with a stay-at-home "Monterrey  Mom." (?)

Outfits worn by Nicole Kidman befitted a wealthy, casual lifestyle but the woman wanted to not be noticed.

Laura Dern was a high-powered CEO. Business tweeds.

The teenage daughter was portrayed as rebelling.

In the interest of full disclosure, I have never seen the show.  I think that R.W.'s character is channeling Bree Van de Kamp from Desperate Housewives.

What a surprise! I've never seen the show but the picture of Laura Dern in that gorgeous Phillip Lim sweater looks just like Celine Dion! I never noticed the resemblance before.

For those of us who love fashion, watching a movie/tv (rather than reading a book) satisfies our visual. While I enjoyed the series, it certainly did not evoke any great fashion stirrings in me! 

Testament to that is Reese Witherspoon wearing the ill-fitting Burberry above. It's a great trench, it simply doesn't fit her. And I could not get past Nicole's wig. It looked very unnatural. Surely Hollywood could do better!

I loved the series, watched it when it first aired and was hooked.

I thought Reese's outfits were adorable.
