Here is another one from the Q2 10am Louis Dell Ollio show, which is a rerun.  None of the models turned around to show the back.  Only Mary Beth, who is wearing the top, did.  Even from the front it wasn't good on her, the border is tight, gives her a belly, makes her legs look very short.  With apologies to Mary Beth, who is lovely.

@NYCLatinaMe

I just watched the video of that top.  I think it's the side gathering that interferes with the look of this tunic.

As for Mary Beth, the tunic does nothing for her.  It almost looks too small around her hip area.

Are we naming pet peeves or just things we don't like? (I'm guilty too)

noun

a particular and often continual annoyance; personal bugbear:
This train service is one of my pet peeves.

What's annoying is when you order something online of a specific color yet end up with something entirely different?!! Or trying to put a jacket or sweater over a 3/4/ sleeve?! GRRRRR! Those seemingly useless strappy things attached inside the shoulders of tops that always pop out and look shoddy?!

Don't like it when a vendor sales an enhancer with no chain chain encluded.

My pet peeve are poorly made uncomfortable shoes. I dislike cheap linings that poke or scratch.

Re: Fashion pet peeves

Skirts and dresses without pockets, which is a deal breaker. I can do pants without front pockets but then they need to have ones in the back.

Peplums are UGH!

Probably a dumb question, but what does everyone do with pockets in their pants?? What do you put in them?  I don't think I've ever used a pant pocket in my life!

I have back issues and standing is tough, so I hook my thumbs on my pockets to change my posture and make it easier to stand. I put a key in them when walking the dog.

I think everything looks good on the right person.  I personally don't like sleveless.  Never worn anything sleveless.  I just don't like my armpits open.  I don't like the shoulder peek a boo thing.  I tried it and not for me.  I don't like low cut tops.  If I want to show my cleavage I will do it in private.  Also I must be the only one is the world who does not like animal prints.  All this is on me not other people.......other people can wear what they want and I am good with it.

My pet peeves is old men wearing shorts up to the chin and knee socks. And women who wear short shorts and socks with sandals. I am spanish and a lot of older men dress like that. [except for the women who wear short shorts.

Personal pet peeves as a plus size:

Super low v neck tops that require layering with a tank or cami. Not all of us want to show off cleavage.

Button down shirts with no stretch so they gape and pucker. I gave up on button downs that don't provide any give.

Knee hi and thigh high hosiery that doesn't stay up. So in the colder months for dresses I'll wear boots with regular length socks or maxi dresses with regular length socks and shoes. Don't want to look like Thelma Harper 😄

And a non plus size peeve - shoes with slippery bottoms. I don't need heavy traction on sandals or flip flops but there's gotta be some grip.
