Re: Fashion pet peeves

[ Edited ]

Elastic waists and sleeves, French terry, excessively long shirts that aren't long enough to be dramatic, and anything described as heathered slub or space dyed

The shirt in the OP is not something I would choose but I wouldn't call it a pet peeve

Biggest is putting pockets in pants. - it takes me so much time to remove; roll up sleeves on shirts made out of too thin fabric - have to remove the tab; designs where the wrong side of the fabric shows in sleeves or front opening. I can avoid most other fashion issues by not buying them.

What do you think about the border near the hem?

I like this top very much, I wear a lot of East Indian style kurti blouses simmilar to this. I have skinny arms and 3/4 sleeves looks good on me.

@JaneMarple   This blouse fromSusan Graver is gorgeous!  I ordered the navy/spice in this.  I don’t see a darn thing wrong with it.

I used to work with young women who continually chose to wear tight leggings. Unfortunately  wore them often without tops to cover up the rear end. One could see every crack in the front and bottom half. The lace and color of the  scanty panties even showed. They also were  usually overweight so not a good choice. Maybe that fashion trend has changed  ,as it was two years ago .

Gosh.  Some of the styles I like, you ladies hate - and vice versa.  Good thing we all have choices!

One of my biggest pet peeves is leggings.

My fashion pet peeve is leggings.  They look like thick tights, exposing every nook and cranny.  And then topped off by a big flowy top.  They may be OK for dance class or working out in a gym, but out n about in public I think they are borderline vulgar.

I like leggings IF the top is long enough to cover the crotch and butt.

My pet peeve is placement prints that say "here are my breasts, here is my uterus," or other anatomical parts!

@mnmom      LOL! 😁😁😁

It depends how you are shaped.

I have wide shoulders and a very small butt and hips. A little width in my bottom half balances me.  An A line, a pattern or some other detail at the hip level is good for me.

I will not buy uneven hems--tunics-big flowers on shirts. I am an old lady and short--5ft.
