Fun fact, I am now the owner of a BIRD FEEDER for my crazy cat! My next door neighbor is mad about their excrement on her deck, so she asked me to move it farther away.

It makes Willow so happy to see the outside critters- squirrels, birds and rabbits. Yesterday BF saw a big FOX in the backyard.

Yes, it's great to have her nearby. We usually go out to dinner once a week with my (teaching) work spouse and a couple times a week I go over there or invite her for dinner at our place.

My brother had her in FL for almost 20 years, although a few hours apart, but now it's my turn.

I retired from teaching several years ago due to health issues. Like you, I miss the kids and my colleagues sometimes, but I don't miss getting up before dawn and working until late at night.

The biggest change in my life is after 40 years I'm taking some time off from singing in the choir. That's a long story, but, basically, I needed a break from all the changes implemented by our new director and priest.

I still shop and buy way too many clothes 🥴. I have been shopping local consignment stores for a few years now. I never thought I would buy used clothing, shoes, jewelry, and handbags, but I've found some very nice things.

Yes, you GET it!

I am trying to help others get out and reclaim their personal time, but the golden handcuffs are getting in the way. I don't think a lot of teachers realize by the time they are ready to collect, the amount they think they've worked for won't be there, and the COLAs aren't catching up.

Maybe you'll find another outlet for your voice, outside of the church choir.
