Re: Fashion Favorites (w/e 2/25/23)...

My favorites this week are #7, 9, & 10.

It's interesting that I like #7 because both pieces are a bit oversized. I usually try to balance proportions by wearing a looser top with a tighter bottom & vice versa.

#9 is definitely my style, but I agree with you about the top not working with the blazer. A simple crew neck tee or sweater or a button up shirt would be choice. Love that the pants are full length. 👍 I don't see that much anymore.

#10 is a very classic look which is my style, but I've never worn sweaters tied around my neck. That would drive me crazy. I like the boots and handbag.

Re: Fashion Favorites (w/e 2/25/23)...

I'm sitting here like a schlub in my old hoodie and Anybody pants looking at this post...not for long though.  Inspired.

I think #1 is perfect in every way.

#2 looks like you and your style with longer hair. Great look.

#5 Pants are too oversized  and the shoes don't "go."

#7 My favorite.  Those jeans ....

#8 I love that soft sweater with the added touches.

#16 Beautiful for early Spring.

#1

Like the coat, but the rest of her outfit looks sloppy to me compared to the jacket. Wearing a gray top and shoes does nothing for the jacket and jeans.  I'd rather see a navy top and shoes.  Even a red top and navy shoes.  I'm from the old school.  Shoes should be darker than the pants, skirt, or dress.

Re: Fashion Favorites (w/e 2/25/23)...

Like all of these styles/outfits.

I haven't taken notes, but recall Number 13.....I'd like to wear those loose fitting jeans!

I made a pink boiled wool jacket way back in middle ? or high ? school.  Loved it.

I used to sew a lot, even while on nearby vacations.

That's when 'material' (fabric) was very inexpensive.

Now that I have a lot of time, I'm not interested in sewing.....for whatever reason.

Well, enough about that!

Everyone here have a good, safe Sunday and the week ahead. Heart

@MacDuFF I like the #1 coat; do you have any information on where the coat can be found?

I agree with @amyb about being over the cut off jean look.  Did anyone think that was really stylish?  Obviously some did LOL.

#7 is a grat look, especiallythe jacket, but again, the jeans are too short.

I guess I am the loner on #9.  I would wear this entire outfit.  I love the shirt underneath this blazer.....but then again, I hate a button down collar shirt ANYTIME.....just not in my style "likes".   The jeans are the perfect length.

I, too, want the sweater in #11.....the neck may bug me though.....

I wouldn't mind having the sweater in #15.  You can have the rest of the outfit.......not feeling it.

Thanks for sharing!

MacDuFF, thank you for an eclectic collection.

I am on the shorter side so I like the length of coat #1 and the shade of blue is different and very pretty.

The #2 black blazer is sharp and can be dressed up or down.

Love the black and white sweater in #11. Gorgeous! My favorite.

Want the baggy jeans in #13.

I love these posts!  Keep at it.

I'm a jeans/jacket/boots girl.  I add color and visual interest with scarves and other accessories.   My favorites are 2, 7, 9, 10.  Especially 10.  I see that they are all wearing belts with their jeans.  I wear belts with my jeans, it gives a polished and finished look to an outfit.

@amyb    Jacket in #4 is Lauren.  The Canadian woman wearing it thrifted it.  And those gorgeous jeans in #9 are available on Revolve dotcome...GRLFRND Melanie High Rise Boot Cut, $225 (ouch), 33.5 in inseam (yay), 100% cotton, color is Rockaway.

I tried to find the jacket in #1, but couldn't (the pic came from my archives, so who knows where I found it or how long ago).  Several locations with this pic posted (woman is French actress Clemence Poesy) came up in a search, but some were dated as long ago as 2019.  It's probably long gone by now. waaa.gif

Fashion detective work.  I love it.  I recreate fashion looks a lot.  You should see my pinterest boards.  I rarely look for the exact item.  I find that if I see something I like, I can always find the same thing or very similar at many retailers, at many price points.
