These new $995 Gucci loafers, lined with kangaroo fur, are being touted as fall's must-have shoes... Or are they glorified slippers? I, personally, will go with the latter. What do you think?

i saw them in a magazine.  i can only say if someone wanted to give them to me as a gift, i MIGHT wear them.  i woud imagine your feet would get awfully hot wearing them.  also, kangaroo fur doesn't appeal to me either.

Must have? Nope! But if they were lined in faux fur---and a whole lot less expensive---I might wear them with jeans. They look awful with a skirt, IMO.

Who or what is actually doing this "touting"?  I ask because it annoys me when high end designers/magazines/bloggers infer everyone should buy something just because they say so.  Especially when it costs the same as a mortgage payment.

These are quite ugly if you ask me.  The leather doesn't look to be real leather, and lined w/kangaroo fur???  REALLY???  Has the dentist been out AGAIN shooting our furry friends?????

Lets leave the fur on the animals PLEASE!!!
