I just looked at the Linea Moto Jacket with knit sleeves which has been well recieved.
In cold weather I wear a jacket (which I will remove inside) over a sweater or a blouse and sweater. I don't want my arms in two thinknesses of sweater knit. I'm too cold to be in just a cotton blouse in the winter, especially in a resturant.
I don't mind a knit panel under the arms, but I prefer all leather.
What is your preference?

I like both. I own three Linea jackets with knit and find them very comfortable to wear even indoors. I also have all leather or suede jackets, and love those too. I don't think it's an either or.

Disclosure: I live in Central Florida and can't imagine EVER needing a sweater under a leather jacket to keep me warm. I am pushing it even owning a leather jacket. lol
I've got a seude jacket with knit sleeves and I really like it. Love it, actually. I can, and do, wear my jacket indoors as part of my outfit, if I want.
I confess that I thought the idea was strange when they first started coming out like this (with knit inserted here and there) but it makes sense for fit & comfort sometimes. I also think it depends on the specific jacket. Some look good, others look bad. I don't think it is fair to do an all-inclusive judgement.
When warmth is the main issue, I think that all leather would be best. I can't imagine wearing leather with a heavy sweater under it. I'd feel like a Michelin Man...

Lalalalalalala.
That's me sticking me fingers in my ears and refusing to acknowledge that fall is approaching.

@willdob3,Many thanks for a wonderful discussion. Here, in the winter, the wind can take us to a 20 degrees below freezing. My driveway stays under a constant hard pack of ice for days at a time.
Two years ago, the interstate 15 minutes from here was locked down two days.
You'll see me in the Ralph Lauren thick cotton turtle necks and one of Dennis Basso's coats very, very often.

They save money and keep the prices down by putting knit panels in leather jackets and skirts. I don't like the look, if I want a leather jacket or skirt, I want all leather.

I wear both all leather and leather with knit sleeves ... it's just a matter of preference on a particular day. I have no problem wearing a knit turtleneck under either style jacket.
