I enjoy watching this show, with Vanessa as host and Jacqui and Blair as the models. I tuned in tonight, and Melissa is subbing for Vanessa.

That's fine, but she mentioned she would be filling in for the next three weeks. I assumed Vanessa would be away. Then Melissa said if we still wanted to see Vanessa we could watch her Fridays at 2 p.m. 

So if Vanessa can do that show she's not away. Does anyone else think this is unusual? I don't think they're seeing how Melissa does, because she has been with QVC for a while now.

Vanessa explained last week that she would be gone for 3 weeks from her regular Thursday night show.  She is filling in for Jen Coffey (married), Shawn (vacation again) and someone who went to the wedding in Italy.  They had to move everyone around to cover.  Nothing strange about it at all.

QVC is strange in that they seem to operate at the convenience and whim of its employees instead of employees arranging their lives around their work schedules, as most corporations do.

During my working days employees requesting vacation time were frequently told "no" if their request conflicted with an earlier request by someone else or if there would be insufficient staff to meet work needs.

I usually don't watch this show but happened to stay up last Thursday.  I wondered how many of Jennifer's besties were going to Italy and they were scrambling to cover.
