Everything Velvet & 70's Style

Are you buying anything new in velvet? It's trending strongly along with styles from the 70's.

I have a couple of nice velvet tops & classic jackets - chocolate brwn, emerald green from RL, CK & DKNY including a body suit. Interested in picking up a new pair of velvet shoes. On the hunt for something in a deep midnight blue.

Rec'd an email promo today from Neiman Marcus with these velvet items. Heart the red boots!

Been there, done that.  I'm not returning to the 70's.

Velvet is my guilty pleasure.

I picked up a couple of One World velvet tops a while back; one for my MIL and one for me. Also some wide leg black velvet pants.

I still have a black and purple velvet sleeveless sheath hanging in the closet, early 80's maybe, that I'm quite certain I can't get in to! lol

I would wear these but I'm sure I wouldn't pay the price they're probably asking...

Love, love, love velvet clothing!  I especially love velvet jackets of which I own 3!  Fortunately they are still in style!  Velvet always catches my eye when I am out shopping! Woman Wink

I actually wore velvet in the 80's.  Princess Diana made it popular again.  I love velvet, especially the midnight blue color.

Re: Everything Velvet & 70's Style

Diane Gilman has a new pant, skinny stretch velvet. Scheduled for the shows on Ssturday. $50. The gray looks nice. Purple, Black, Navy & Red.

I think purple would also be a nice velvet color, any jewel tone. Wonder if the dark tones would be magnets for lint? Looking for velvet leggings as another option.

I won't be...huge pet hair magnet.  I'd have to walk around with a

lint roller the whole if I wore velvet.  I try to stay away from solid dark colors as well.
