Hoodies are not flatering. They serve no purpose. Extra material hanging down the back to carry all day. It's ok for Rocky or a teenager in sports but not women.

We will have to disagree about hoods (and leggings). I live in Seattle and have a beach house on Oregon coast and I use my hood to cover my head quite often to keep from getting wet hair. So for me, a hood is not useless. Hard to run with an umbrella. Lol.

Also like leggings for casual look and for running. I look good in leggings, but will wear an appropriate top as I am a fairly conservative dresser.

Different people look good in different styles. I don't like how I look in most turtle necks...love them on other women. I cannot stand crew neck tops on me, but know they look great on other people.

Ain't it great so many options are available so we can each buy what we like?

@mjmm Thank you for sharing your opinion.

I love my hoodies, though.

I like hoodies.  Sometimes my head gets cold or it's windy.  I like the versatility.

@mjmm Good grief! Did you take an extra dose of your judgmental pills today? What else can you be critical of? I'm sure you can think of something! LOL.

I'm happy you don't like hoodies @mjmm...that's more for me. I'm a woman who enjoys wearing them, my favorite is the TSV Isaac Soho plushed back zip front tunic hoodie...I have 4, want more so bring them back Q.

Hoodies are great when they serve a purpose...rain coats, coats for snow, heavy winds, but when anything becomes trendy, it's overdone.  Everything has a hood.

QVC does go overboard with all things trendy.  Remember the moto jackets.  All designers had to have at least 10.

Cropped pants??  Can't hide from them.

Athleisure and PJ's - ad nauseum.

Jeans??  While classic clothing styles are always current,  jeans, for a very long time, too, how many different designers' jeans does anyone need?  QVC just hired a new one.  Lola Jeans.

Sherpa??  Should I say more.  Did we see sherpa bras yet?

@mjmm I agree. I do not enjoy hoodies. I feel like they are pulling my top backwards. I enjoy a more polished look in my attire. I cannot count the number of times I have not bought an item because it had a hood. The first thing I check on outerwear is if the hood is detachable. If it is I make the purchase and remove the hood.

Certain regions have a greater need for them that others do not. It seems the pendulum swings too far toward hoodies to the exclusion of cleaner necklines for some of us. It does seem to need to be more balanced.

I have a couple of hoodies, one specifically a work hoodie, and it is great when it's cold or windy outside.  I don't care how it looks since I'm not trying to impress anyone.  I think it serves a purpose, even though the poster doesn't like them.

I've commented on hoods before. Hoodies are great for snow and rain to keep my hair dry. Then I don't have to carry an umbrella.
