Reformation has lots of skirts, midi and mini, and dresses with the some thigh high slit shown here.

@Puppy Lips   You supposed to pair very feminine dresses with combat/masculine boots.  It's the contrast.   Not new.  That combo has been around for a long time.

I prefer them with pants.  I have a pair and always wear them with jeans

@songbird Well I like the look in these photos because the dress is darker and has a black belt to tie back to the boots, and the girl with the jean has a black top on (even though it would be okay if she didn't.)  I just think with the length of Emma's dress and the light color, that it just does not look good in my opinion.

Sizzler, mini dress, mini skirt...wore them all in the 70's usually with a chunky platform boot. Sometimes, in our area we wore those ugly desert boots with them so it's fashion history repeating itself but we were the "originals".  As far as the slit in Emma's dress,  I had a summer long cotton slip dress and I took scissors and made a slit right up the thigh. I am tall and had beautiful 34 inch inseam legs that I loved to show off. I remember my mom said wth did you do do that dress???!!  It was wrapping all around my legs so...problem solved 😉

edited to add I more than likely wore the desert boots with the dress

Very few can dress like Emma and look like Emma.  Yes, this look (minus the very high slit) is a look that has been revived and, for some, never left..  Some  boots are on the heavier side....Frye's and certainly Docs ( black with red roses embroidered) but maintain femininity with the rest of the look.  Currently a lot of trendy shoes with the heavier platform bottom.

@songbird   I want that pink coat!

Re: Emma Watson high slit dress

There is NOTHING SPECIAL about the dress. The boots and socks look RIDICULOUS.

@songbird The manner in which the models are posed, and the display of bosoms and thighs is provocative and unneccesary.  I one of their skirts with no slits and love.  The skirts without slits sell out quickly.  Love their prints.

Re: Emma Watson high slit dress

Never been a fan of masculine looking boots at all and definitely not with dresses.  Would not have even done this in my younger years.  Didn't really care about being on trend if I did not like the look.  I have always loved clothes putting them together in a good way for me

As an aside regarding the post about casual wear at work, I always worked in a professional office and liked suits, dresses and heels.  At my last job before retiring we did have casual Friday, but no jeans.  Then things loosened up and jeans were permitted.  I still remember one man who then came in sloppy looking.  He stood out not in a good way.

Who cares about what she has on, her partner with the top knot is really good looking and he's not afraid to carry a man bag either. Yes, very handsome....
