The ponytail hairdo with that dress is a definite no.  Plus, I do not like the dress at  all.

I agree, I think it's stunning. The article I read called her a blinged out Disney princess.

 

So surprised that she wasn't nominated for an Oscar for Mary Poppins, there was so much talk that she would be.

Overall don't like the dress, the top of it is too fussy. What's with the pony? Just a twist would've made it a simple updo.

It looks to me like it is a nod to the Victorian type of dress, very over ornamented. I suspect ,it is the idea, that  Mary Poppins was sort of a Victorian British  Nanny
