Re: ELLE's best dressed celebs of the week...

I think Gemma Chan had better looks on Oscar night, but I suppose they didn’t want ONE person to take all the spots!!

Sarah Paulson is a HUGE nay from me. Hated it as soon as I saw it on Sunday (and posted as such). I’ve seen it on a few best of lists, but I think it looks ridiculous and not at all flattering.

I disagree with each one.

Billy Porter's was fun, though.

Yikes, no I don't agree.

I guess they are going for the outlandish runway looks for most!

Re: ELLE's best dressed celebs of the week...

@ajsidney12  My oldest daughter was obsessed with models, clothes, jewelry.

Her Christmas and birthday lists were almost entirely fashion magazines.  She speaks (I assume, I've never heard it) fluent French, so some were in French.  I'd have to order them or go to places that sold magazines like that.  They were expensive.

I found it interesting too because (as I've said here before) when I worked, I made a lot of my clothes.

To this day when I look at the clothes on QVC because they're so simple in my mind I can totally take them apart and see how quickly they're made.

Most people who sew basic clothes will tell you the hardest part is taking the time to cut out the pattern.  Ugh!  I hated that.

I have (in my sewing room) 2 fancy sewing machines and all of the paraphanlia.  I keep hoping a grandchild will want to sew....time is ticking away.  One is totally computerized so they're not 'old fashioned'...still no takers.

Love Gemma Chan's, Lupita Nyong'o's and Sarah Paulson's dresses/oufits on them.
Tessa Thompson -- no
Kate -- hideous.

Re: ELLE's best dressed celebs of the week...

LOL!!!!  Are they serious?

As much as I almost always love Kate's fashion sense, this coat was, well ..... let's just say unattractive. The color is nice but the cape thing reminds me of Sherlock Holmes. They pick this coat over the beautiful mint green Missoni dress she wore? SMH!!

The rest are all hideous.

If these were the best dressed, I shudder to see the worst dressed list!!

The first one is hideous and the white feathers dress is also ugly and the pink number below it and the last one.  What were they thinking?

Yes they definitely should have picked Kate's green Missoni dress
