The Duchess of Cambridge is visiting the King Henry’s Walk Garden in Islington to see how the project brings people together through gardening and food growing. 

Kate was in her element today as she visited the community garden in North London where she was introduced to an open air pizza kitchen. 

'Pizza outside sounds like the coolest thing ever' said Kate as she spoke to local school children as she helped to make bird feeders with them.

I echo the other comments about how lovely she is. I really love her easy smile. She really is trim and in shape. I’m sure she works out but is also probably genetically gifted. Always a pleasure to see pictures of her.

Kate took part in a winter planting workshop and bird box building.

The duchess also made pizzas with schoolchildren from St Jude and St Paul’s CE Primary School using ingredients harvested from the garden including oregano, marjoram and rosemary.

One curious youngster even asked Kate if the Queen had ever eaten pizza.

Kate replied: “That’s such a good question, I don’t know. Maybe next time I see her shall I ask?”

Kate is known for her passion for the outdoors and the proven benefits that nature has on physical and mental health.

Kate was gifted honey and pictures from the kids.

Making bird feeders with local school children. Kate was given a bird feeder from the kids, telling one: "I'm going to go put that in the garden and hopefully the birds will come."

I love her clothing. I have read she doesn't have a stylist. She, and her personal assistant, pick her clothing. This might not be true, but ,if it is, she does a remarkable job

I think she should give those jeans and those boots a rest; she wears that same outfit whenever she goes out amongst poor people.  I'm not sure why, it doesn't make much sense.  If she wants to dress casually, the world is at her finger tips.  This thread is very funny.  I sitting here imagining the nasty, mean comments posters would be making if Meghan was dressed exactly like that.  Omg...she'd be skewered...LOL
