@pupwhipped, thank you for the laugh!   I had not even noticed the carpet color!  I think this dress is so different from anything that she usually wears, and I personally do not think it is her best look.  I imagine someone helped her dress for the occasion.

The next time that I hear salt and ice together, it better be in a margarita!

She’s a lovely lady and I’ve always loved her style but I don’t care for this look.  It reminds me of the 1970’s and not in a good way.

This has nothing to do with Kate but I can't understand wearing sandals with your foot hanging over the edge. I see this all the time in magazines.

I believe that dress might just be her first public fashion blunder.  I love her hair!  The dress is..unfortunate.

I think Kate did it well, although, the style is getting "tired".  I would have seen this at a picnic type event.  The queen's birthday deserved more.

 

Also, too many girls try too hard and pull everything too low.

The white dress has a strangely fitting bodice, rather cone shaped. From far away the gumball pearl necklace also looks askew and off kilter. Some of the clothes and accessories on her tour of Poland and Germany are OK and some are meh.
