Maybe it's me but modal never dries completely in my dryer.  I've run pieces through twice and they are still not dried.  I end up hanging them outside. I'd say it was my dryer, but I have no problem with any other fabrics drying.  I usually do not put my modal tops in the dryer but hang to dry, but I do put my modal PJs in the dryer.  Does anyone else find this to be true?

Modal is a type, or similar, to rayon.  I've found that both take forever to dry.  I have no idea why.

Modal and rayon are engineered fabrics which are made up of very dense but fine fibers that hold 50% more water than cotton. That's very evident when you pull something made of modal or rayon out of the washer and it weighs a ton.

All my LOGO is in that category. When everything else in the dryer is done but the logo is still very damp I simply hang it up to dry.

@Biftu do the care instructions say it can be put in a dryer?  I realize a lot of my mistakes with garments is that I'm not heeding the advice on the label within my garments.

@gertrudecloset  Yes, they can be put in the dryer.  I feel like it's not just me after reading the respondents.

Have you tried throwing a dry towel in the dryer with it?  That's a trick to get clothes to dry quicker. Might work.

My rule of thumb is never put clothes in the dryer unless it's Susan Graver.  Her stuff can withstand a nuclear bomb. The dryer damages clothing.  Not the washer. The newer models don't damage them as much.  Better off hanging them up to dry.  Some clothes you can't even put near a dryer.  My jeans.  They never, ever go in the dryer.

I have a Modal shirt that I LOVE. Bought it from QVC OVER 20 YEARS ago, and STILL wear it regularly.

Never have a problem with drying it, no pilling. Looks like new.
