QVC sells a lot of 'multi-purpose" clothing.

What's the phrase?  Dress it up .... Dress it Down?

I've never worn dusters or any garment that was very long. It's just not my preferred style so I doubt I would ever wear a dress as a duster. I've seen a few women "rock" the look, but IMO it works best on taller women.

I am petite and have a cute vertical  striped shirtdress that I wear with skinny white jeans or white leggings.  The dress is proportionate for my height of 5'2" so it works.  I do wear the dress unbuttoned with the belted tie in back.  It actually elongates my body.

Just don't need that extra layer in Central Florida!

I do have a couple of Isaac's open front long cardigans for cool mornings.

@Desertdi

I never saw that trend.  I also never saw a purple cow and hope to never be one, but I rather see one than be one and that is the way I feel about wearing housedresses as dusters.

@Nonametoday    I made a REFERENCE, not a suggestion that you should wear a style from nearly 25 years ago....

I'm not into the duster phenomenon at all.

I lhave several dusters but require they have an open front.  No zippers and no buttons.  Same requirement for cardigans.

Duster coat:  (From Collins Dictionary) a plain short coat that hangs loosely from the shoulders

That sounds like a cape
