I'm seeing a lot of button down dresses worn as dusters.  I'm not sure how I feel about it.  Is it something you do or plan to do?  Is it just a shopping channel thing to boost sales?

I always looked for dusters to have some sort of closure, like buttons, zippers, etc. I have never been fond of open front anything on my body...so yes, I would wear a button front dress over pants. Really just depends on fit. I like close to the body clothing, so any dress/duster has to be fitted thru bust and waist for me.

I don't think wearing pants under a dress is new.

I would guess it depends on WHERE you live.

In Phoenix, the winter season is relatively short, but it can get below freezing at night.    Most of us just pile on "layers", rather than buy a winter coat....

Personally I don’t care for dresses worn as dusters. I don’t even like dresses that button down the front.

Have never/will never wear a dress as a "duster."  Don't see the purpose.

It was a "trend" in the early 21st century...

I read duster and think housecoat. I know I am wrong but I thought it was funny

I didn't see this so I am not sure of what they meant.  In my day, dusters were housecoats or iight, usually cotton, garments which were worn during the day at home so a woman would be covered up but comfortable and could go about household chores.  I don't take duster to be a regular dress to go out and about in.

I see many woman wearing dusters. My hair stylist wears on often. She can rock the look. I like them it's just not a good look on me. I'm sure she has converted some dresses along the way.
