Mine stretch a tiny bit, but not as much as regular denim jeans. I machine wash and line dry. In fact, I gained a couple of pounds over the winter, and the waist got a little tight. It didn't stretch out enough to be comfortable.

I have several pair and I have never had any problems with them bagging or hanging. I love them and they wash up beautiful.
