When it's confirmed by a reputable source, I'll believe it. I loved Joan, but the facts are:

She was 81 years old
Had many, MANY surgical procedures with anesthesia before
She discussed having a cardiac arrhythmia years ago

Any or all of these can be a lethal outcome. If something wrong was done, then I hope they correct and re-educate themselves.

If nothing was done wrong and it was just a bad outcome, their business is permanently damaged from this unfortunate event.

Oh, come on ....... NONE of you know what was in the fine print of the release forms Joan signed!

In California, there's always a clause that allows for unexpected or unforeseen conditions discovered during the procedure ..... it would make NO SENSE for them to take an 81 yr old woman out of anesthesia, wake her up, ask her to sign another form, and then put her under again.

As for the MD in question, it may be "political", to assure the financial stability of the clinic.

It seems that, from a PR standpoint, there always has to be a fall guy ..... even if Joan's body just plain gave out!

If the clinic said he is no longer worked there then I guess it isn't speculation but true. Beyond that we don't know what happened. I'm tired of people jumping on anything that is posted here. I'd rather take the time to check it out myself rather than taking that time to scold someone.
