There are a lot of fashions in retail for under $30.00, depending on what you are looking for. I swear some of the Denim & Co items are made in the same place as Kohl's Sonoma line because the items look identical and the Kohl's prices are 1/2 to 1/3 of what some D&C items are.

Some of my favorite t-shirts are the Croft & Barrow v-necks from Kohls and I pay $7.99 for them, at the most.

Thanks for those tips, I will start looking at those lines!

Some folks can't get out and/or are too busy to drive to malls, shop from store to store, etc. It's a lot easier to see items on the models and order. And the price of gasoline is sometimes the same amount (as shipping charges)(and/or probably more) because of driving around from store to store, mall to mall. Not to mention the time in trying to match/coordinate items.

Hear Hear! (or is it Here Here?) Anyway...I can't stand going to the stores anymore. I recently read an article about the demise of malls across the country, complete with pictures of abandoned buildings and weeds in the parking lots!

Me either! I loathe going to a mall or any B&M store and will avoid it at all cost. I am always amazed when friends find bargains in Kohls, TJ, Marshalls etc. I have never found ANYTHING in those stores...and was shocked at the poor quality clothing esp. in Kohls. Old Navy JUNK..IMHO...no offense to those who love those stores. Just my opinion.

However, I LOVE to shop! I love to buy new things! I do all my shopping online.

BUT! Please keep in mind....even today, MANY people still do NOT use computers and do not have access to surf online for the best bargains! My mom refuses firmly believing that online thieves will steal everything you own. I have 4 other relatives who shop Q on TV only. Convenience in different forms for them.

I have loved the clothes on QVC, especially GILI and some of the newer designers. I agree they are probably all made in the same 'third world country', however, there is a WORLD of difference between the quality of a Linea item and the quality of clothing I find in retail stores.

I will NOT however, continue to buy clothes here. Not returning my original shipping is a gamble I will not take.

So true, other online retailers (my fav. being WHBM) will ship for free and I can return it to the store ...again FREE (well, a smidge of gas)

I find buying fashions from Q or online very difficult. Recently ordered a dress from Nordstroms and it is ok...but even the close up of the fabric color was looking different then what I was expecting. Not sure I'll be keeping it. Thankfully they have a free shipping policy both ways.

I do prefer to shop for clothes at the stores....you can find great quality deals on clearance all over.

I refuse to pay $50.00 for a polyester blouse/shirt that is always referred to as ""liquid fiber."" Just can't justify it!!

Crosscreek (Post #63): "I refuse to pay $50.00 for a polyester blouse/shirt that is always referred to as "liquid fiber." Just can't justify it!!

Then don't! Just a quick look at one store (JC Penney) turned up the following blouses for less (from a selection of many dozens, many on sale/clearance):

Black Label by Evan-Picone Sleeveless Solid Bow BlouseEvan-Picone, $24.99

Liz Claiborne® Long-Sleeve Woven Tunic TopLiz Claiborne, $30.00

Liz Claiborne® Cap-Sleeve Peplum TopLiz Claiborne, $24.99

Bisou Bisou® Peplum Tank TopBisou-Bisou, $12.99

Liz Claiborne® Long-Sleeve Dot Henley Top with CamiLiz Claiborne, $30.00

If you aren't satisfied with what QVC offers, the options are endless. The above are just a few of many selections from one store among many dozens of stores and websites. Shop around and save!

If you live near a lot of shopping, you certainly CAN find things cheaper. Yes, Kohl's has tee shirts much cheaper than QVC. I will never pay more than $24 for a tee shirt. Even if you shop at Macy's or Dillards, their items go on sale and you can get very nice things for a great price without shipping.

QVC's sales tactics would have you believe that you cannot get a better deal "out in the marketplace", but they are sadly mistaken. I watch but rarely buy. Little skimpy tee shirts for $48, plus shipping and tax? I don't see that as a good deal at all. Usually, I will buy something from QVC IF I can't find it in the stores. I feel sorry for people who live in the middle of nowhere because they have no choice but to pay through the nose.

Have any of you tried lastcall.com? It is a Neiman Marcus web site

Thank you jmsmall, will take a look at lastcall.com!! I just won't pay $50.00 for a blouse, regardless of the designer. I do like to go to Belk, JC Penney, TJ Maxx, Macy's, Target, Kohl's and Dress Barn. Just love a good bargain!!!{#emotions_dlg.thumbup} Also like to shop at QVC, but can't afford the $50 blouses.
