Does anyone here know what s/ch/p means in sizing.

I saw s/ch/p on a label and did not know what it meant so I asked the sales associate and she said she did not know but that it was a small.  I was wondering if it was a petite small but did not know what the "ch" meant.  Anyone here know.  Thank you and much appreciated.

@miata1

I believe it means small/chico or chica/petite.  Chico (masculine) and chica (feminine) mean small in Spanish.  Don't quote me on it, tho, LOL.

There doesn't seem to be total uniformity in how manufacturers use the abbreviations, but frequently in the United States S/CH/P means size small.  S is for small; CH is the Spanish (chico), and P is French for petit which means small in French.

When the item is for petites as in height a P will follow the English abbreviation.  After checking items in my own closet I have a lot of XSPs which is Petite XSmall.  On some the XSP is followed by the back slash and then the Spanish... XSP/TP

Thank you to all who answered.  That was so nice of you.  I didn't know who to ask and came to the boards for an answer and you took the time to answer me.
