Does any New Yorker remember a small chain of women’s clothing...

shops in the 1980-90’s years?  Sold work & some dressy items.  Might have had something French in the name.  TIA!

@Magny

Trying to recall some names - places where I used to shop ... not all small chain or only women .....

Bolton's

Strawberry

Daffy's

Plymouth Shops

A Real New York Bargain

Labels for Less

Casual Corner

Franklin Simon

Ohrbach's

Filene's Basement

There was another on Madison in the 40s - can't recall the name,

And one on 5th - east side of the street around  42nd or 43rd - can't recall name.

Another on 34th street - east of 5th Ave.  Can't recall name.

@ALRATIBA - I shopped at many of the stores you listed when I was working in Manhattan.  Especially loved Plymouth and Casual Corner. So many nice stores gone.

Not "French" but along with the other stores mentioned, I used to shop at Lerner's.  And Century 21!   So many more choices back then.   And, for me at least, shopping was fun!

I remember a French Boot Shop, or FBS.  it was in New Rochelle, I think.  They had a catalog.  Back in the 60's or early 70's....

I do not know if they had stores too.
